Recycling
Doing our bit is more important these days than ever before.
At Mid West Displays we feel that it's actually our duty to take responsibility for recycling our rubbish.
Previously we had bins that were overflowing each week when the bin men came, now we have reduced the number of bins we have.
- Paper - This is collected at each desk and emptied into a special paper bin which is collected once a week.
- Cardboard - This was the main cause for filling the bins, now we have a special cage in which all cardboard is flatpacked and collected with the paper once a week.
- Acrylic - This is the one that I am most proud of, as an acrylic fabricator, we produced masses of waste plastic, which we paid a handsome fee to dispose of each week. Now we have located a company who have supplied a monster skip, which carries about 6 tons of waste. Not only are we now being responsible for our waste, we are actually getting paid to get rid of it, wonderful!
